Meet The Cast of All About Anne

Alice Malakhov Alice has always loved the Anne of Green Gables books, and now she gets to play Anne! She is super excited to perform with this amazingly talented cast! Alice is a 14-year old, Grade 8 student and an award-winning triple-threat singer, dancer, and actor. Alice is trilingual, speaking English, French and Russian fluently. She has been a member of the Canadian Children’s Opera Company for the past 5 years and has performed in many CCOC productions. She has also performed as the second spirit in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” at the Canadian Opera Company, as well as a chorus member in “Hansel and Gretel”. As a professional actor, Alice has worked on stage and screen. She's appeared in film and television projects including CBC and Netflix’s “Anne with an E”, TFO’s “Zik” and Lower Ossington Theatre’s “Matlida”. Alice has also performed solo recitals and appeared in singing competitions at Carnegie Hall, Roy Thompson Hall, and Koerner Hall. Even though Alice has had experience in many performing fields, it is the world of musical theatre that she is most passionate about. Her lifelong dream is to be Fanny Brice from “Funny Girl” on Broadway. Alice thanks all her teachers and her family for their unwavering support.

Avra Fainer Avra is thrilled to welcome you to Avonlea, and to this celebration of Lucy Maud Montgomery and Anne Shirley! Selected performance credits include: The Wedding Singer (Holly), Aida (Amneris), Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood), The Diary of Anne Frank (Miep), Urinetown (Hope), The Laramie Project (Leigh, Romaine, Aaron and others), and Oklahoma! (Ado Annie). Big thanks to Marion and The Spirit of Maud for the opportunity to bring this beautiful show to the stage, to Steve for everything; and to YOU, for coming out and supporting local talent.

Brianna Taylor  Brianna is thrilled to be taking part in this tribute to one of her favourite characters and dream roles. She is currently a student at Randolph College for the Performing Arts in Toronto. Some of her favourite past performances include Jason in Falsettos, Enid in Legally Blonde, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, and most recently Anne herself in Anne of Green Gables. Brianna would like to thank her parents for their unconditional love, support, and rides.

Gabrielle Bauman  Gabrielle Bauman is excited to be joining the Spirit of Maud productions this summer! A Toronto-based Canadian/American actor and theatre-maker, she recently completed her M.F.A. in Acting in Virginia Beach. Some of her favourite recent roles include Catherine Sloper in “The Heiress”, Elaine in “Arsenic and Old Lace,” and Bertha in “Brontё.” In addition to her time on stage, Gabrielle enjoys her work as a stage manager and director, and offers private acting coaching. She has a particular passion for new work, female led projects, and the intersection of faith and art. Outside of the theatre, Gabrielle loves introverted afternoons curled up with a hot cup and an embroidery project.
