Lorenz Hart (born May 2nd, 1895) was a talented, yet tragic figure, tortured by his own demons throughout his career. As a result, his lyrics are all laced with cynicism and ache. But oh, they are sublime. Especially when paired with Richard Rodgers' melodies.
