Here is a unique opportunity to get feedback from a panel of musical theatre pros and then be a part of a Q&A session afterward! Ask the questions you have about working in musical theatre and get advice about everything from auditioning to getting an agent.
Here are all the details!
Part One: Materials Prep
Marion will (virtually) assist performers in creating and editing a performance resume, as well as choosing a headshot. These items will be submitted to the pro panel for feedback.
Part Two: Performance Prep
Each performer will have one, one hour coaching session with Marion between January 28th and February 18th. These will take place on Zoom, FaceTime or Facebook Messenger - whichever the performer is most comfortable with. **These are not a replacement for voice lessons - Marion will prioritize performance elements and overall delivery, not vocal technique and production.** After this lesson, all performers will submit videos of themselves performing their two pieces NO LATER THAN Saturday February 19th. This will give Marion time to organize the files and have them ready for the panel. Each performer has a time limit of 5min for both songs.
Part Three: Professional Panel Performance
On Sunday February 27th at 4pm EST, in a Zoom meeting, each performer's two pieces will be shown to a panel of industry pros. The panel will provide written feedback on what they see and what they suggest for next steps, as well as feedback on the headshots and resumes. (Written feedback will likely take 24hrs to be processed and then sent via email.)
Part Four: Professional Panel Q&A
Each performer and their parents (and teachers are welcome too!) will be invited to engage in a Q&A with the panel about working in the arts industry after the performances are complete.
Cost: $195 payable by etransfer or PayPal
What else: Space is limited in order to keep the time spent with the panel concise and productive.
